How much can I work along with my studies?

Being on a student visa you can legally work for only 20 hours per week. And we recommend that you should not work more than that as it might cause problems to you. But is you are on any other visa type, then see p.13 instructions.

Finding Jobs

For finding jobs in London you can take help of job centres which are located at all places in London . They provide complete help and guidance in finding jobs. You can get all different types of job here. The nearest job centre for the college is Den Mark Job Centre. This is very near from the college. You can also look out in news paper like, loot, evening standard which also contains a column for job opportunities.

Basic Requirement

For getting employment you need a National Insurance Number. This is mostly asked for getting jobs in London . To get this number you need to provide with your payslip of the job in London or else you can also provide with 2 complete rejection letters. For the NI number you need to go to your nearest job centre and they help you with it.

Tax Payment

Mostly if your income is not very high then you don't have to pay any tax. But if earn above some limit according to the government rule you have to pay a minimal tax. But you can even get your tax refunded only after the completion of course and if you have worked for only or less than 20 hours per week.
